The oldest continuously operating roadside park on Route 66, George M. Reed Roadside Park in Saint Robert provides a restful stop evoking the mid-century spirit of the Mother Road. The park features an authentic M60 tank on display along with picnic tables, making the park a fantastic spot for a picnic on a warm, sunny day. The park’s newest feature, Route 66 Neon Park, features 10 authentic neon signs from the Missouri portion of Route 66 from St. Louis to Carthage, each lovingly restored to their former glory and lighting up the night sky once again. Wander the concrete pathways winding through the park and browse storyboards detailing the fascinating history of these beautiful relics.
